Nadia Kassem is an Australian MMA fighter, who competes in the strawweight division. She has previously fought for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She has a professional MMA record of 5-2-0 (W-L-D).
Nadia Kassem was born on November 15, 1995, in Wentworthville, Australia. She started training in Taekwondo and played rugby and softball when she was young. She was inspired by the MMA after seeing her brother grappling.
Nadia Kassem uses mostly boxing and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (BJJ) in her technique when fighting in the MMA.

Nadia Kassem started in amateur fighting in Australian tournaments. Her most remarkable MMA fight as an amateur was versus Morgan Graham at the UFN 2 – Urban Fight Night 2. She won via armbar submission in the second round.
MMA debut
Nadia Kassem made her professional MMA debut on August 28, 2015, at the JNI Promotions – The Century. She fought versus Jiang Zhu and won via KO in the first round.
Early MMA career
Nadia Kassem had three more fights in Australian UFN and JNI.
On December 12, 2015, she defeated Belinda Sedgwick at the UFN 5 – Urban Fight Night 5 via KO in the 10th second of the first round.
On December 03, 2016, she registered another professional victory. She smashed Leigha Aurisch at the UFN 9 – Urban Fight Night 9: Fight of the Nations with the TKO in the 19th second of the first round
On February 24, 2017, Nadia Kassem defeated Jasita Yotawan at the JNI Promotions – 1 on 1 via TKO in the first round.
UFC career
In June 2017, After 4-0-0 (W-L-D) MMA record Nadia Kassem signed with the UFC.
She made her UFC debut on November 18, 2017, versus Alex Chambers at the UFC Fight Night 121 – Werdum vs. Tybura. Nadia Kassem won the fight via unanimous decision.
On February 9, 2019, she fought versus Montana De La Rosa at the UFC 234 – Adesanya vs. Silva. She registered her first MMA loss after armbar submission in the second round.
On October 5, 2019, Nadia Kassem recorded another loss to Ji Yeon Kim at the UFC 243 – Whittaker vs. Adesanya via TKO in the second round.
She was scheduled to face Miranda Granger on August 8, 2020, at UFC Fight Night 174. However, on October 7, 2020, it was reported Kassem was released by UFC.
