Ashley Yoder is an American mixed martial artist (MMA) and competes in Strawweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). She is Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Ricardo Feliciano and has a professional MMA record of 8-8-0 (W-L-D).
Ashley Elizabeth Yoder was born on October 20, 1987, in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. She started in cheerleading, dance and competed in track and field, but at the age of 18 she started training in MMA.
Ashley Yoder started fighting in 2008 as an amateur, competing at the Elite Cage Fighting and Tuff-N-Uff, where gained experience and skills. In the beginning of 2016, she participated at The Ultimate Fighter Season 23, where lost in the quarter-finals to Kate Jackson via unanimous decision.
Ashley Yoder MMA career
Ashley Yoder made her professional MMA debut on February 1, 2014. She faced Catalina Madril at the Gladiator Challenge – Uprising, winning the fight via armbar submission already in the first round.
Following such an attractive and good start, she signed with promoter BAMMA USA, where had four fights. Under BAMMA USA she registered three wins (vs Misha Nassiri via armbar submission, Liz Tracy via split decision, and Angela Danzig via armbar submission) and one loss (to Maria Rios via unanimous decision).
On November 18, 2016, she debuted at Invicta FC, fight versus Amber Brown. She won the fight via armbar submission in the second round.
Ashley Yoder made her UFC debut on December 9, 2016, facing Justine Kish at the UFC Fight Night 102. She lost the fight via unanimous decision. The next fights were a total disaster for Ashley Yoder, who registered two more losses – to Angela Hill at the Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale via unanimous decision and to Mackenzie Dern at the UFC 222 via split decision.
On November 10, 2018, Ashley Yoder faced Amanda Bobby Brundage at the UFC Fight Night 139. This, time she achieved the win via split decision.
On June 22, 2019, she registered another victory at the UFC versus Syuri Kondo at the UFC Fight Night 154 via unanimous decision.
However, on October 26, 2019, Ashley Yoder again suffered a loss and ended her winning series. She lost to Randa Markos at the UFC Fight Night 162 via split decision. On August 15, 2020, she suffered another loss to Livinha Souza at the UFC 252 via unanimous decision.
On November 14, 2020, Ashley Yoder defeated Miranda Granger at the UFC Fight Night 182 via unanimous decision.
Since then, she entered into a bad series, registering two losses to Angela Hill at the UFC Fight Night 187 and to Jinh Yu Frey at the UFC on ESPN 28, both via unanimous decision.
